So, time to ramble, eh? My name is Elizabeth, and I'm currently living in Nebraska.

Yay for corn.

I'm working on getting my Master's in geology. I'm studying paleontology, to be more specific.

That is a tiny picture someone did of the tiny deer-like critter my research is about, Longirostromeryx.

That's my day job, but I also harbor designs to become a published author someday. Almost all of my inspiration comes from my dreams. I write mainly fantasy, with a few branches into scifi.

Other than studying and writing, I enjoy playing Neopets and DragonRealms. Currently I'm also addicted to Pokemon, City of Heroes, and Tales of Symphonia. I love animals, especially dogs, rats, and cats.

I draw sometimes, but I don't pretend to be very good. I just try to enjoy myself with it. I love Photoshop, though, and I make icons for a Livejournal community, Obsessive Icons, along with Ariel, who runs this domain, and Clara, who is just as awesome.

Of course, I spend a lot of my time reading. Mostly fantasy and scifi, with some thrillers and historical fiction thrown in there for good measure. Some of my favorite authors include Robin McKinley, Scott Westerfeld, Catherine Asaro, C. S. Friedman, Neil Gaiman, Anne Bishop, Dean Koontz, and Nick O'Donohoe. If you love me you'll buy me books!

Music is also very important to me. Of course, I have no talent for any instrument, but I've got a good ear and I like to sing.. in the privacy of my own home. I love Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Marilyn Manson, and a lot of techno.
